- Feb 11, 2010 St Croix County Democrats February Membership Meeting The St. Croix County Democratic Party will have its next meeting on February 11 at 7:00 in room 212 of the Hudson Municipal Building located at 911 4th St. Hudson. Featured speaker will be Peter Kilde, executive director of West Central Wisconsin Community Action Agency, Inc. (West CAP). Mr. Kilde will talk about the “West CAP Story-Promoting Sustainable Economic Security in West Central Wisconsin”. Mr. Kilde has been executive director of West Central Wisconsin Community Action Agency, Inc, (West CAP), since 1995. He currently represents the upper Midwest on the national Community Action Partnership Board of Directors, and serves on numerous national advisory and policy committees dealing with transportation and energy issues and their impact on low-income families and communities. He is also an active board member, and past President, of WISCAP, the state-wide association of Community Action agencies. Peter serves on the regional Workforce Development Board, and is a past chair of the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation Board. Prior to coming to West CAP, Mr. Kilde worked twenty-five years in a variety of capacities for the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation of St. Paul, Minnesota. During his last decade with Wilder, he was operations director of Wilder Forest, a 1,200-acre conference and education center linking social and environmental concerns.
